International Gospel Artist, Sheila A.
International Gospel Artist Sheila Alexander was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois, home of great singers such as Anita Wilson and Miles Davis. Upon graduating from high school, Sheila went on to perfect her craft at Lincoln University of Jefferson City, Missouri. Sheila earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, with an emphasis in Music Education and taught school for many years.
Sheila Alexander has been acknowledged as being a blessing to the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God. She now resides in Kansas City, Missouri and attends the Blue Hills Church of Nazarene, under the guidance of Pastor Winston Lott. Sheila credits her position within the music ministry to Bishop Erick E. Vassol and Dr. Elverta L. Vassol who provided her the platform to grow into the artist and woman of God she has become.
Sheila is a licensed Minister of Music and has held the role of Praise and Worship leader for the past 10 + years.
Sheila is signed to Big Noise Music Firm and is preparing for the release of her newest single, "Never Give Up", Summer of 2022. Sheila has collaborated with many other artist, and was featured on International Hip-Hop Artist Crystal Sherie Worldwide hit song,“Mad Luv”, which charted at 177 on the Billboards.
Sheila’s passion and love for God can be felt throughout her songs. Many
producers have labeled Sheila’s sound and style as being “Classic”. God is opening many doors and allowing Sheila to minister all over the world, delivering a message that brings healing and peace to the people.
Performance highlights include: Appearance on the Dr. Bobby Jones Presents, performing the Star Spangled Banner at a Harlem GlobeTrotters basketball game, opening for the McFadden Brothers and Wess Morgan. Sheila is proud to have ministered alongside other National Gospel Recording Artists, including: Denise Tichenor of the Kurt Carr Singers/Bobby Jones, Leah Joel, Wess Morgan, Harmini Dominic Bonsignore, Samuel "Miracle" Brown, and Crystal Sherie Worldwide.
Sheila has collaborated with major industry affiliates including, Al Gomes of Big Noise Music Firm, VZ Washington of RiteWay Management Sound, Juan Baxter, Syndicated Radio Host & Label CEO, National Recording Hip-Hop Artists, Emcee N.I.C.E. , Producers/Songwriters: Joseph "Jo Blaq", Ruben "Joe Bonyx" Armstrong, Joe Mills of High Point Productions, and Arthur Payne of Dreamin Out Loud Productions.
Sheila’s most profound performance and television appearance came when she hosted a benefit hurricane relief concert in 2019, for the city of the Bahamas. The show received major television and radio exposure, including an array of monetary donations and toiletries, that were shipped directly to the Bahamas.
Sheila is adamant on giving back to the community and often makes time to volunteer in schools and within other organizations, helping prepare individuals for the workforce.
